Toobad there's so much hard work to this weight loss thing... lol At mylast visit, I learned of Kaiser Richmond's wonderful policy of notdoing WLS on anyone over 400 pounds. So, I have a new goal... 399. I started (this time) at 529 and am now flirting with 450. Since I'mcoming back from my hybrination, I'll be droppig a few extra poundsfaster now. Guest guest
Hey there Ron! I've been wondering where you were...I figured you were in the "lurk" mode...we all go through that from time to time. I am feeling MUCH better, but it still hurts to sit. (8 long needles in the spine and blood being injected in the same site just isn't fun.) I'm hoping (assuming) the lower back pain is temporary...but it's already been a week since the final jabbing session...so it's taking its sweet time. So 399 is your new goal? OK, you can do that. I bet you've lost another 5 lbs. or more since your last weigh in (unless you've been struggling more than you've let on). So, we'll get that 40 or 50 lbs. off of you, and then off you will go, to the land of the svelte. How is your sister doing in her journey? How much has she lost? Is she at goal? (I can't remember how long ago her surgery was...nor do I remember her starting weight.) How is she doing emotionally/mentally? Are you guys able to do any exercise together? Glad you are back...here's to shedding the final poundage!!! love, Robynn wrote: Hi Ron,Glad to hear you are out of the cave. Guest guest
Robynn, I hope your pain disipates quickly. Admittedly, I had to chuckle when you said "jabbing session". Sorry, but that was cute... This morning, on Napa's "crazy scale" (as I call it), I weighed in at 449. It generally weighs me at 2-4 lbs. heavier than Richmond does, so that's very good. I'll weigh at Richmond Wed. morning, so we'll see what it says. Last "official weigh in was 455. At least I'm going in the right direction. As for my sister, a, she's doing great. In fact, she just joined the group here. I'm sure she'll be introducing herself soon. Her surgery was 8-31-05 and she's lost a little over 140 pounds (I think) since Feb. '05. Her starting weight was 301 and I think she's in the neighborhood of 160 or so now. She seems to be doing great emotionally. We do have opportunities to exercise together, but we seldom do. In fact, I have been bad about that... but I have been walking some. I just went to the podiatrist today too about my plantar fachiitis. Things are reasonably under control there now too. Anyway, gotta run... restroom is yelling at me. Ron Re: Re: Ron is back... Hey there Ron! Guest guest
WOW Ron!!! You are doing unbelievably well with your weightloss. Go you! a is also astonishing! She really lost weight fast. Is she short, medium or tall? 160 sounds like she is pretty close to goal. At least at my height (5'6"). I'm looking forward to meeting her. OK, so you haven't exercised much together, but that's going to change now...RIGHT? We need to whittle those last lbs. off you so that you can join a, and start playing the lead in "The Amazing Disappearing Man" since she obviously is the amazing disappearing woman star!!! It's ok to laugh at the jabbing session. I would...but sometimes it hurts to laugh...(ok, now I'm just going for extra sympathy points....) Guest guest
Sorry... I'll try not to, but that's not really unusual for me to post for a few days, then not be heard from for a week or two...
