Guest guest
Good Afternoon All, My name is and I had my surgery on December 7th. I've lost a total of 83 pounds 20 of that was before surgery and 63 has been since the surgery. In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that my weight lost has slowed down. So I figured I'd try watching what I'm eating on fitday.com. Can anyone tell me how many calories, proteins and so forth I should be taking in daily? I get so sick of food if anyone can give my any new food ideas I'm open for suggestions. I eat pretty much anything I want with the exception of beef. For whatever reason beef does not agree with my stomach. I've tried tacos, meatloaf, hamburgers, hotdogs and corned beef. I have noticed certain foods won't agree if there's too much fat in them. Thanks for listen,
Guest guest
Hi ; You know this is something I have always wondered my self. When I had surgery three years ago and I know a lot of things have changed I was told for the first three months to just drink protein drinks and after that get in 60 grams of protein a day low carbs no sugars and very low fats. When I would ask how many they would say dont worry about it you won't get enough of any thing to count calories and some how that dosen't seem right to me. I'm at a loss for that part of your question. As for food I think if you just try to be creative as far as putting things together it gets better like my new favorite right now is egg beaters with asparagus, mushrooms lite cheese some chunks of real lean ham made into an omlet is great. My husband also loves it. I can't eat beef either so when they want hamburgers I use Bocca burgers for my self I like the taste of them. On the days I just don't like any food at all I use ISOPURE zero carb drinks there is 40 grams of protein in them and they taste good to me. But then again I only eat real food about once a day,any how I'm more of a liquid person I think that is because I was on liquids for so long after surgery. I don't know if this helps but hang in there it will get better for you You are doing really good in the weight loss department. Guest guest
You may just be going through a plateau. I don't think at this point there is a calorie plan for you to follow. Just make sure you are sticking to 2-3 oz protein, drinking your water and exercising. I really dont have any real solid ideas for food. I usually at your stage did beef because I couldnt do chicken. Breakfast: usually protein bar(not sanctioned by Richmond) or scrambled egg with cheese Lunch: yogurt(Light and Fit by Dannon) and string cheese lunch meat rolled with cream cheese hard boiled egg, string cheese left over meat from dinner the night before, veggie cottage cheese Dinner: 2 oz beef, chicken, fish or pork, and a bite of a veggie like broccoli, green beans, peas, squash, > > Good Afternoon All, > > My name is and I had my surgery on December 7th.
