Guest guest
Hi I'm sorry to hear that Paris is having a hard time adjusting to the DBB. Just keep checking to her feet to know that no blisters, etc. are forming. You can also check to make sure the bar length is the same as the distance between her shoulders. However, my guess is she's just having a hard time adjusting to the DBB. My son cried for the first few days when he had the casts put on (he was 18 months old and use to standing). It was awful and we didn't get any sleep for 2 days. Then finally he got use to it. I know it doesn't help now, but Paris really will get use to it. Maybe you can try to show her how she can kick her legs together. I wish I could say more to help. The only other suggestion I have is to look into Dr. Dobb's brace. This is what we use and it allows the feet to move independently. It's wonderful. I believe if you do a search for Dobb's brace you can find info on how to go about getting it. Maybe somebody else can jump in and tell you if you are interested. My son had no adjustment period with the brace. It's really a wonderful invention. Good Luck! I wish I could have helped more.
