Guest guest
Hello! Joey has had AFO's for the last 3 years. Overall they have really helped. He is a BIG tiptoe walker. He has been since he started walking at age 19 months. And still will tiptoe 90% of the time if he is not wear his AFO's. Because of his tiptoe walking and weaker muscles, Joey will fall SEVERAL times a day. Yet we really have noticed his calf muscle to be near nothing. Feels like a small water balloon, with just a tiny amount of water. We discovered yester that he no longer has the stregth to peddle his tricycle more that just a few peddles. Could it be the progressing of this terrible disease? Or could the inability to use that muscle due to the AFO's be causing it? Just since it has been getting warmer here in Missouri, we ha noticed he has alot more trouble waling around in the front yard. He acts like a new walker. Any help would be great!!!
