Guest guest
Hello - I have a 10 year-old daughter with Leigh's. Although she is developmentally delayed, she is now starting to go through puberty at her young age. She is unable to go to the bathroom by herself therefore she has to wear Goodnights. I am wondering how to deal with it when she starts mensturating. I would really like to hear from people who have girls and if they are having to go through this yet and if there are any suggestions as to what I should do. Thanks for your help,
Guest guest
Hi , Although we are not there yet, my twin daughters put us through quite a scare last year at age 7. We noticed some signs of early puberty and took them to our developmental pediatrician. She said a large increase in weight, brain illness. and seizure meds can all cause early puberty. She suggested Lupon Depot-PED shots monthly but to allow even a developmentally challenged child to have 3 or 4 cycles a year- to cleanse the body. You might find some answers at www.toosoon.com Maybe this site will help?? > > Hello - I have a 10 year-old daughter with Leigh's.
