Hello all!

I had my surgery on 3/15 with Dr Gorrin. I've been home since Thursday, but I have had some computer problems and was not able to sign on! I have wanted to come on this list a few times in that week to ask questions.

Thank you to those who sent well wishes before the surgery. I am sorry I wasnt able to respond to you sooner :)

Everything went very well.I did have an issue with the nursing staff, not assisting me in walking, which we learned is as important as breathing! Problem solved with the assistance of my surgery mate Cathy's husband!

I have had very minimal pain , and have only taken the lortab to help me sleep at night. I am having a very difficult time getting in all of the liquid. I have an alarm to remind myself to eat, because I am not feeling hungry at all. I am on Stage 2. My favorite thing is some of the strained cream soup with chicken bouillion. NUMMY! (awhile ago - I probably would have passed! LOL) I am doing my walking, but do tend to get very tired in the afternoon. Need anout a 2 hour nap to feel alive again!

I am sorry to ask this again, but can anyone recommend a flavorless protein powder? That is actually what it advertises? I bought the stuff at the Kaiser Pharmacy - which is absolutely dreadful! I am using the Whey falvored powder from Walmart. Its only 40g per serving, but I have been mixing 2 1/2 scoops to get the extra protein in. Usually 1 scoop choclate and 1 Vanilla mixed together - helps cut the chocolate. I did try mixing the flavorless in to do this - but that was horrible too!

I was really prepared for the surgery - thanks in great part to this group!

Thanks!
