Guest guest
, i am glad that you made the call for the eval. Sometimes once you find out what is wrong you can find out that you qualify for more services. Behavorial issues often get pushed to the back burner too because health issues overide in importance. I know with she was very sick and took alot of medical care so all of the behavior issues had to wait then by the time she got evaluated she was really bad. On an easy note, I have her on high dose ribloflavin (400mg twice a day) which has really helped her autistic meltdowns. No one can really explain it but we did try taking her down a few hundred mg and she got worse, back up, better. It is an easy (if you can get it in him). does he have a gtube? I would obvioulsy talk with the doc first. Please know you are not alone though at times I am sure you feel that there is no one else on earth with this issue. Last night on Judging Amy they actually addressed an autistic child. The boys mom boyfriend moved out and though he seemed to have no attachment to the boyfriend (cause some autistic kids don't seem to attch) he became out of control at bedtime because he ritual was disturbed. is very much into schedules and rituals. Anyways, let us know what happens. Dawn
