Guest guest
That is GREAT! I pray it comes through quickly. This time for you will help so much. Do fun stuff and be with friends....you WILL se a huge difference! Horsley RE: Behavior issues can you help? PLEASE to sue ann Sue Ann, I did schedule the eval. I just realized that things wouldn't get any better if I didn't take any action now. I felt relief as soon as I made the call. My biggest fear is that they will take my child from me for spanking. That has been my last resort with him. He tells me that I'm mean and that he hates me, today he has been spitting at me all day. I'll be glad to find out what is really going on with him. I hate spanking my child, but at times it is the only thing that will make him stop his behavior. What else can I try? Time outs have never worked for us and taking away priviliges only starts a more huge rage of outbursts that even though I'm not giving in it makes me think that the battle is not worth it. There is no special treatment for Mito and nothing that will make a difference in psych evaluation. You are at the end of your rope and INSIST on some help. Don’t let the doctor’s push you aside. If you’re sure this is more than the “normal” amount of child defiance then seek help and don’t let them talk you out of it. Sometimes I don't know if we'll make it to the next day I have resorted to locking myself in my room for a time out, somewhere where he can't reach me to unleash his rage. I wish his doctor's would help more in this area. They don't want to use any medication yet, not until the full diagnosis of the muscle biopsy is in. I would like to take him in for a psych evaluation but know it may not do us any good yet. Thank you so much! PLEASEDo any of you deal with behavior issues? gets out of control at times and lately seems more often. He normally talks loud from a slight hearing loss but more and more he has been yelling hitting kicking just plain defiant!!! I have taken several parenting classes but none seem to deal with kids with special needs. Sometimes these outbursts have been a prelude to him getting sick, others it's just him being 7!!! How do any of you handle the outbursts? My friend calls her daughter's 'metabolic meltdowns'. She is lucky though, she has someone at home to relieve her when her daughter gets out of control. Please ALL suggestions are welcome.Thank You, Please contact mito-owner with any problems orquestions.
