I have been trying to convince my dr.s to test me for zachs stuff. Finally i'm getting somewhere. I had a ck test which was normal but , my aldolase was high .

They're sending me to a neuro muscular dr. I am wondering if they'll recommend a muscle biopsy? If they do i'm pressing for a fresh muscle biopsy. I am seeing dr. lava in albany ny. I hope hes good. I am not too concerned its too bad, but i'm concerned because i think its progressive. I have lost a lot of function in my hands mainly and pain gets worse each year. i can't pick up zach real easy i have to use my arms to carry him out of places and not my hands . i guess what i'm getting at is, Can this be mito related? I also have had other problems, calcification of my basal ganglia, i have other conditions too (hypoparathyroidism, itp, graves, fms, ibs, ) My rheumatologist used myalgia as a dx to get a referall for the neuro musc dr. I am guessing what ever it is adult onset.

my level was 8.3, it was only moderately high but high enough to indicate i need to get it checked out. Normal levels are 1.2-7.6 u/l

mom to zach 4 ga2 alexis 6 (who lost her first tooth yesterday and got a visit from the toothfairy)
