Our daughter is a Stanford patient. However, she had her biopsy with dr. Shoffner in Atlanta.

it was done as an outpatient. We went back to the hotel in the afternoon and two days later we flew home. With prep and recovery it does take the better part of the day. All surgeries are invasive. Our daughter was 3 at the time. All things considered she did well.

The very hard part, that is once the surgery is done, is the waiting for the results. It takes months. A true test in patience.
