Guest guest
Thank you. I guess all I will have to worry about is the Co-Q10 being covered. He will have that and vitamin e and c. We also have to change one of his seizure meds, Dr. Saneto says that the Topamax has decreased IQ levels in mito patients by 30 points so he wants us to try lamictil. Is there a specific brand of supplements that are better than others? Or is it just preference? Ya know today I have gone back and forth between crying and laughing. Crying because this is so real and laughing because I thought by having a diagnosis I would know what to expect in the future!!! I just realized that if God wanted us to see the future he would have given uscrystal balls!!!!! Instead we get to be God reliant and have faith!!!! How cool is that?!! Just wanted to let you know that Medicaid has paid for a portion of Sophie's cocktail. They pay for her carnitine and Co-Q-10. The B vitamins are fairly inexpensive when you think of how long they will last. It was $5.99 for a bottle of 100 tabs of each. I crush half of a B-2 tab and 1/4 of a B-1 tab each day for her 50mg dose. So that means they will last a while. I'm still looking for somewhere that carries these in a liquid to make it easier, but no luck so far. I remember the day they called to tell me Sophie had mito. Like you I kinda knew but to have it confirmed was like being kicked in the stomach. You are in my prayers.
