Guest guest
Hi all... i have been reading your posts.. you are all so great... but i have a habit of looking at everyones childrens weight and height..and wow.. My owen is so tiny compared to some of your children. Owen is 5 yrs and 1/2.. he is only 26 and 1/2 pounds and 37 inches... my doctors have him on nothing.... he is completely " normal " in every aspect other than his size... i just wanted to vent a little... and as for your stories..OMG... i could write a book about the stupid things people have said to me... I remember reading a post somewhere.. was a long time ago.but im dying to use it..but i cant bring myself to... this lady was standing in line in the store and someone said..omg... your little one is soooo tiny..she turned around and looked at her child and said " Oh No...i think i left her in the dryer to long..she shrunk " ...i so want to use it..but i dont have the guts..lol. But i can sympathize... i am already discussing with owen what to say to the kids at school who keep telling him how small he is... I said Owen... was are you going to say to the kids who tease you cuz you are smaller than them..he looked right at me and said..Mommy..i will say SO!...i thought it was priceless.... ...owen rss.. 26 lbs, 37 inches. assymetrical
Guest guest
, if it makes you feel any better, when my daughter was almost 5 yrs old, she was 27 lbs and 38 inches tall. That was when we started GH (and although she is a girl and Owen is a boy, my husband is 6'4 " , his sister 6'0 " and dad is 6'7 " ). I am so glad to hear that Owen has no other issues at this time besides height. Has your doctor discussed with you growth hormone therapy and what benefits may come of using it? Given you the prediction of Owen's final adult height based on the RSS growth chart? I just sketched him out on the boy's RSS chart (he appears to be about one standard deviation below the RSS mean -- do you mind my asking what your height is and Owen's father?) From that, assuming normal RSS pubertal growth, the RSS chart shows Owen at being about 4'10 " as an adult male. Let me know if you have any questions. > Hi all... i have been reading your posts.. you are all so great... > but i have a habit of looking at everyones childrens weight and > height..and wow.. Guest guest
Hi jennifer, Wow thank you for doing that..although it really shocked me...i was so hoping he would at least reach 5 feet.... I am only 5'3 and owens dad is 5'10. My endo had not really discussed ght.... i would have serious issues getting it here in ottawa. He is not gh defiencient and i would have to pay for it..its not even an option. Owen rss 5 1/2 26 lbs, 37 inches > > Hi all... i have been reading your posts.. you are all so great... > > but i have a habit of looking at everyones childrens weight and > > height..and wow.. Guest guest
, Don't give up on the ght option. Debby B is a good one to get in touch with. She, too, lives in Canada and was able to get it for her son Adam. I believe there are several other Canadian members who were also able to get it. Jodi Z. Guest guest
Hi Jodi, Can you tell me off the top of your head if there are any studies that actually prove that GHT..actually helps with FINAL height.. cuz before i would even attempt to fight for Owen to have ght i would have to know that it does. thanks > , > > Don't give up on the ght option.
