Guest guest
, Would it be possible for you to use a syringe when you have just a little bit left in the cartridge? Let me explain.... If you use a syringe to draw up what is left in the cartridge, you can then mix a new cartridge. Use the partially filled syringe with the new cartridge and fill it up to the dose you should be giving. Then, instead of using the pen for an injection, just use the syringe. You could even get an injectease from your endo and use that with the syringe so it won't hurt as much. Jodi Z.
Guest guest
hey laura!! when we were doing christopher's ght (we took a break at the end of april as per dr h to get his weight and cal intake in check before we restart this july) we use to give him what was left and then the next night just give him his normal dose. we also use genotropin and get it from tele-drug (we are luck though because for some reason we dont have to pay a copay, not going to complain) this seemed to work . we were told when we were taught to either give the 2 shots that night or just what was left, we chose the lesser of two evils!! jodie (nicholas-6 nonrss, christopher-3 rss 23lbs 8.5oz 33 " periactin, ght genotropin(on hold until july), ADHD (possible), assmentry(left side 1cm), johnathon-11m nonrss) > Hi All, > > I just spoke to the nurse at Liam's Endo's office and about the Med. and > insurance issue. Guest guest
WHAT!!!! here - Absolutely would not give him a double dose -- call them back and ask to speak to the doctor, and make sure he knows what the nurse told you. Would they give your child a double dose of Tylenol??? And no, you don't give the balance the next night. If you give let's say 25 units, and there is only 22 left in the vial, you draw up the 22 units until you get air, push back a bit back into the vial to get rid of the air, and then get the new vial ready. Now you draw up the balance of the 3 units into the same syringe from the new vial. (the only problem is that you can't push the equivalent air into the new vial like you would normally do, so sometimes you have to pull abit on the plunger to draw up the last remaining ccs.
