Guest guest
Jodi, What great news about ! Congratulations! It is so exciting to see your child get up and walk. It almost makes it seem like things are " normal " and progressing so well. Gosh, I remember meeting you in the hospital in NYC and was so tiny! He has come so far. I do think there is a way for you to get off the IV pole and into a backpack, though. Dr. H. just bought plastic ones from the dollar store near her. They make them in all sorts of sizes now. When Max was little, we had to make our own. It was really cute. We called it a " Max Pack. " Dr. H. loved them so much that she took them from us when Max was too big and she gave them to people who could use them. If I had one now I would send it to you.... I don't even have one for old time's sake. But if you are good with a sewing machine, I can describe one for you and you can make it yourself. It's pretty easy and more secure than a backpack, although I've seen cute ones at kids' clothing stores that seem to stay on okay. (Did all of that just make sense?) At this point, you and need some independence. Let me know. And, again, I am so happy for you! Jodi Z.
Guest guest
Hi Jodi, Thank you so much for your post. Yeah, I remember you and Max coming in to see us in NY too. I was so touched that you stopped by to meet us. You really won't believe when you see him in July. You will think I switched him for another! LOL! Anyway, no I am NOT good with a sewing machine. I probably couldn't use one to save my life if I had to. I would still like for you to try to describe it though. Do you have any pictures of Max with it on? Maybe you could email me one if you do. So, Dr. H doesn't have any bags to give anymore? Hmmm, any suggestions on where I could look for a small one for him? Just any place?? Thanks again for your post, Jodi R. > Jodi, > > What great news about ! Congratulations! It is so exciting > to see your child get up and walk.
