Pat,

When I first joined the list, was a sick little baby. I remember him

well! I unsubscribed for a long time, but he has always been in my thoughts.

I'm glad he's put on weight! Unbelievable he now needs a diet! Ugh .. strange

loll!

Hi Jennie,

Our was born at 39 weeks gestation, weighing 3# 5oz and only

measuring 15 " long. The Drs here know almost nothing about RSS, and missed

his silent reflux. He developed a severe oral aversion, and was almost

impossible to feed. At 8.5 months of age, (with weighing only 8#),

we went to NY to see Dr H, and she had a g-tube placed. was sick,

more than he was healthy, from Sept 2002 through Jan 2003, and even with the

g-tube, only weighed a little over 10# at 13 months of age.

Once we had him healthy for a couple of months in a row, his weight gain

suddenly took off in the spring of 2003. By convention time (in July last

year) Dr H thought he was way too heavy, and was worried about premature

adrenarche, and insulin resistance!! She reduced his feeds, and basically

put him on a diet. Some days it just seems like you can't win, if you know

what I mean?? LOL

Hey Jennie,

Things were awful with in the beginning. I don't know what I would

have done without the list serve. The people here are incredible!!

has come so far over the last year and a half. He walks, he talks

(well kind of! LOL) and most people think he's a pretty normal one year old

(even though he's two and a half! LOL) He is the light of our lives, our

little miracle.

Talk to you soon!
