I was just posting a response to , and I mentioned to her that

I am so looking forward to meeting everyone at the convention soon.

I can't wait til it comes. I was also saying that how will we know

all the people from the listserve. I am sure there are going to be

so many people there, and people with the same names. It would be

nice to know who is from the RSS listserve. I don't know if you all

have done this in the past (probably since it has been going on for

so long), but I thought maybe we could do like some type of ribbon.

You know, how they have breast cancer ribbons and yellow ribbons

during wars. We need to come up with a unique one for RSS. We can

wear them at the convention, but also use them afterwards. People

will ask us what they are and we can tell them waht they stand for.

Maybe RSS and MAGIC ribbons or something. I don't know. Just a

thought. Man, you would think I have too much time on my hands.

But, really I have NONE! Hee, hee.

laura-

have you ever considered getting a scholarship through Magic? Jen

Salem can tell you what you need to do to apply for one for your

family to go to convention.

Hey Jodi!

Last year Jodi Z. bought this great neon-striped ribbon that we all attached

to our ID for the convention and it was so easy to identify list serve

members.

Hey Jodi Z.!! Are you planning on doing the ribbons again???

Hugs to you all!!

Wow, that's a great idea! I don't remember seeing ribbons last year, but I

wasn't a

member of the listserve then. I found out about this group at the convention

last

year - a bit backwards, but I'm glad I came across this listserve, and I look

forward to

meeting & " remeeting " all of you this year.

Hi all,

My husband, Mike, and I will be attending the convention this year with 2 of our

kids,

, 10, RSS, and , 3, and we will be arriving on Wednesday morning.

Although I will miss her horribly, I decided to leave who will be 5 months

old at

home with grandma & grandpa. Since it seems like a lot of us are arriving

Wednesday or

Thursday, maybe we can pick a time and place to meet as a group before the rest

of the

convention arrives. What does everyone think?

There is a restaurant in the hotel, but it is very expensive. There are a few

restaurants not too far away though. I know we ate at a pizza place while we

were

there which was down the street. This year we won't have a car, but the hotel

has a

shuttle that will take you to another Marriott down the street for free, which I

think is

right next to the pizza/Italian place. I don't remember what this place was

called.

Does anyone know the restaurant I am talking about?

Hey Kim,

I don't know about the others, but I found that the in-house restaurant was

too expensive for us. I'd love to go out to dinner with everyone, but it

will have to be someplace reasonably priced as we, like so many others, are

traveling on a budget.

Hello all!

, Christian's mom here! Computer's been down so I've been away. But I

was thinking about compiling a short list of restaurants in the vicinity of

the hotel for quick eating. We live about 45 mins. from the hotel but will be

staying there also. Might be helpful to have. I'll let you all know. Can't

wait to see you all again.
