Guest guest
I can't believe I am asking this question, after being a mom of a Pediasure user for over three years...........but here goes: Has anyone ever flown with pediasure in their luggage? I have always " carried " it on the plane with me since the makers of pediasure told me they haven't tested in the unpressurized part of the plane where check-in luggage goes. I am going to be gone on a trip for over a week and don't want to carry that many cans with me on the plane....I would rather check it on with my other luggage and not have to deal with lugging it throughout the airport and onto the plane. Had I planned ahead, I would have had my healthcare company ship it to my destination, but I forgot. Alison
Guest guest
Alison, I, too, carry on the formula, rather than checking it. I am not sure about the answer to your question, but the main reason I carry it on rather than pack it in luggage is that I am afraid the luggage will get lost, and I will have no food for . Not to scare you, but lugagge gets lost or damaged all the time. My luggage has been lost before, and it was very distressing. I didn't get it back for a day and a half. Also, a few years ago, my mom was traveling, and her luggage was run over by the thing that hauls luggage to the plane before it takes off. She actually saw it happen out the window of the plane. Everything in her suitcase was destroyed. For that reason, I never pack things that are an absolute need and hard to replace on a trip such as formula, medications, etc. Kim C. > I can't believe I am asking this question, after being a mom of a > Pediasure user for over three years...........but here goes: Has > anyone ever flown with pediasure in their luggage? Guest guest
Alison, We always have sent it ahead of us. We just call Fed Ex and they take care of it for us - packing and all. It works great and we don't have the extra weight of the cans to worry about. Jodi Z.
Guest guest
Kim, Thanks. I do carry on Jake's pump, bags, medicine, gh, syringes because like you said, luggage gets lost and to replace those would be difficult. But I figure Pediasure can always be bought at the store (which I would hate to do since I get it for free through my insurance company). Thanks for your help! Guest guest
Hi Alison, I was reading your e-mail to Kim and you stated that you carry Jake's syringes on the plane with you. I just wanted to double check and make sure that it's OK to carry syringes on board the airplane. Hope all is well with your family.
