Guest guest
To anyone that may be battling their ins company for coverage. After attending the convention last year and being placed on Peptin Jr and having the ins. company cover it from June of 2003 until May of 2004. The insurance company said they wouldn't cover it because the enteral feeding has been completed. (in their eyes!) We are still on a gtube for 40/50% of the time. The ins. company policy states a taste and there is no coverage. Yes, I am appealing it and have spoke to the case manager. (Just have to write it up yet). There is a program through Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughter Norfolk Va that they will help cover cost based on $$ need for like three months. They purchased this last month supply. Care connection great part of the hosipal but kept a quiet secret I think. My husband contacted Nestle last year after the convention but at that time we didn't qualify. I again contacted them two weeks ago. Since we are not covered by medicare, medicaid, SSI, or ins. for the feeding along with Dr. note, and Tax information, proof of US residency and living at home. I receieved a letter in the mail stated they will cover us for one year up to seven cases a month!!! After a year it can be looked at again with $$ need and new note from the Dr. If this can help any of you the person to contact is Frances J Financial Assistance Program Coordinator Nestle Clinical Nutriton Company Phone Fax email frances.moore@... Website www.nestleclinicalnutrition.com Another reason to attend the Magic convention or be a Magic member. With out the vendors we would of never found out about Peptin Jr. and how well it works for Tori. Maloy mom to Tori.
Guest guest
Maloy, This is such fabulous news. Thanks for taking the time to post this note and getting this valuable information out to the list. I am a firm believer, that some where, somehow things get taken care of. There are so many " hidden " programs out there. It is so frustrating, I wish there were one book that just listed all the secret programs available.
