Guest guest
Hi , I got the sheepskin mattress cover from a discount store of natural goods called Mother Hart's, now out of business I think, but Garnet Hill natural linens (on-line) probably has them. People use them for fibromyalgia and for babies, too. I think aspirin helps me. I prefer it over Tylenol as it's one of the anti-inflammatories, but I'm taking an osteoporosis drug as well so have to watch for stomach irritation. I heard we shouldn't take iboprofen due to the iodine in the red food coloring and read a post saying we shouldn't take naproxin sodium (Aleve) either. I read somewhere about chronic joint pain being treated with B vitamins but never got whether it was taken orally or injected ( Sholom's newsletter?). And I wonder whether taking a B vitamin at night would make a person jittery while trying to sleep. Glucosamine chondroitin (spelling?) seems to work--to rebuild arthritic joints, I think. I don't know if it would help this. Best wishes,
Guest guest
- Good point about anti-inflammatories. I usually take Tylenol, but it makes sense that aspirin may work better. I take a B multi vitamin and I don't notice that it makes me jittery, but if I take it in the evening instead of brekfast or lunch, it does make my stomach feel a bit icky. I also don't notice that it really does anything for my joint pains. Maybe I'm not taking enough to do anything there. I think it's a 50mg B complex. I'm betting it probably has to be injected to have effect on joint pain. My mom took glucosamine for arthritis, and it did work wonderfully for her, but unfortunately it seems to also raise cholesterol in some people. Just out of curiousity, what osteo drug are you taking? Have you had any improvement with it? If my bone scan this year isn't any better, they're talking about doing something more drastic other than " take more calcium and exercise " . But since I'm still very pre-menopause, the options seem to be limited on what they can do. Thanks for the matress cover info. Going to look into that! Quick--Are joint pains worse at night? > Hi , > > I got the sheepskin mattress cover from a discount store of natural goods called Mother Hart's, now out of business I think, but Garnet Hill natural linens (on-line) probably has them.
