Guest guest
Hi le, Since sweating is listed as a " symptom " of RSS, I've found that most Drs seem to ignore it in our kids. BUT sweating is also a symptom of low blood sugar. The blue MAGIC Pamphlet states that " A young SGA child should NEVER be fasted or kept NPO for more than 4 hours for ANY reason without glucose-running IV " As Jodi Z. said, if your son has never had any problems with hypo-g, then I would make sure his is FULL at the 4 hour mark, and feed him as soon as possible after the test. Would the Drs be willing to do period tests for BS??? Test him every 30 minutes to an hour, to see where his BS sits?? This would ensure that they would know if it was falling?? Just some ideas. Hope this helps. Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 29 months, 21# 7.6oz, 30.5 " , Prevacid, Singulair, Miralax, GT)
