Hi Barb,

Unfortunately this question comes up often. As I understand it, the cause is the

fluctuations in thyroid hormone levels and has to do more with a change in

growth cycles, so that instead of shedding on a staggered schedule it all

happens at once. I know my hair got much better after I reached a maintenance

dose on PTU.

This disease certainly can affect us in a variety of unpleasant ways! But the

hair loss should decrease on the Tap.
