Yep. I call it " freaking out " . It's like a huge wave. Once, before

I was diagnosed with GD, it was like I had a black out. I even

looked ill. It was when my kids were at karate class. They called

the paramedic's and everything. I know now that it was a panic

attack brought on by GD. Before this episode, I couldn't even fall

asleep at night (this went on for months and months too). Every time

I started to fall asleep, that " doom " feeling would overcome me and I

would startle awake. It drove me nuts. This went on all night.

Once you start treatment, it'll get better. Beta blockers help. And

everyone here told me to watch the caffeine and chocolate intake -

they were so right. Even to this day, if I have one too many

caffeine drinks, look out.

Oh, GD is usually first misdiagnosed as " anxiety " or " panic "

attacks. It's not in your head, dear - - it's your messed up system.

Hang in there. I promise it will improve. Your not crazy.

Hugs,

Hi donna,

Yes, I have had those overwelming feelings like that.

I also get some hopeless feelings about things.

Its temporary for me.

I hope that things will be better for you soon.

Take care.

I've felt a big difference since taking 50 mg. of B6 a day, at all times

of the month. My GYN recommended it some time ago for the emotional side

of PMS. With the kind of irregular cycles one can have with Graves you

can feel PMS-y for weeks on end.

Take care, Fay
