Guest guest
Okay - I know, I'm new to the group and all I can talk about is clothing. Don't yell at me just yet. I was conversing with my dear Husband this afternoon and I've been reading posts from individuals who could use assistance for things - mostly for the convention - and every idea I would suggest to my husband (like having a family stay at our home while they are here) went over him like a lead balloon. So, finally (I know - get to the point) I came up with an idea that he really liked. In addition, a dear sweet person e-mailed me this afternoon offering to give me some of her clothes for my son - you know who you are - thank you. Anyway, I would like to donate the clothes I currently have to either Magic or anyone else for that matter. Of course, I only have preemie, newborn and some 3-6 months to offer at this point - but, my friends can't use them - most of their babies are already bigger than mine! So, I'm looking for someone to steer me in the right direction. I'd really like to give what I'm not currently using to individuals who can benefit from them. Thanks for listening. -
Guest guest
Hi :-) It is very generous of you to want to donate your baby clothes. I too had to figure out what to do with many preemie clothes and newborn clothes. The second hand shops do not give you much for them. If there is not anyone here on this list serve who could use them there is an organization called New Borns in Need. They give new Mom's who have very little a care package for their new babies. They do other things but you can look on the web and find a chapter that is near you and find out what else they do. the parents they touch are very appreciative of what they receive. Guest guest
, Not sure if you had anyone interested in your baby clothes. If no one here is, you can always contact your local hospital's NICU dept. When our son finally grew out of his preemie clothes, we remembered how nice it was when he was still in the NICU and he was in a real " outfit " rather than a white " hospital " outfit. I remember commenting to the nurse about this and she said some of their graduates donated clothes. So we donated Jake's preemie outfits in hopes that it would brighten the day of another parent too. Guest guest
, That is so awewsome of you to do. It seemed so hard to find preemie clothes for my son when he was born (3lb 13oz) and it still seems hard to find them at nine months. I donated ours to a family at church who had a premature baby around the size of Datreon. I also thought that was a great idea to donate them to the NICU. If you have any newborn/0-3 month clothes and noone to give them to, my son could definately use them. Thanks for your thoughtfulness, that is just so sweet. le (datreon 9 months, 11lb 14oz.)
