Guest guest
Hi everybody. I rarely post on the board but I always read it! I saw the Endo today. Pretty good news. The problems I had with my liver while taking PTU seem to have reversed and my liver enzymes are all in the normal range. Also, my thyroid levels are normal except for TSH which lags behind so I'm not surprised. I am a bit concerned. The endo wants me to stay on this dosage of Tapezole (5mg 2x/day) and he'll see me in 8 weeks. I've been on this dosage for 3 weeks and as you can see my levels are on the low side of normal. If my levels are already 'normal' and I continue to take the same dose, won't the thyroid levels continue to drop? I really don't want to be HypO. Take a look: Current labs on 4/29 (while taking 10 mg of tapezole/day)) FREE T4 .71 (.61 - 1.76) T3 150 (85 - 205) TSH 0.004 (.35 - 5.5) Labs on 4/8 (while taking 200mg/day PTU) Free T4 1.08 (0.61 – 1.76) T3 229 (85 - 205) TSH not tested Should I decrease my dose to avoid HypO? He did tell me to reduce the beta blocker each week as long as my heart rate stays below 80bpm. Thanks for any input! Elaine in AZ
