Guest guest
Hi Betty, I found myself in the same position as you. I had RAI before realizing that there were alternatives. Please know, (and this is in the archives lots), that there are a great many of us that have had this. Please try to remember that not all individuals respond to the treatment like many of those on this list. You will be able to find lots of horror stories but that doesn't mean that you will experience any or all of this. Many of us are here because of our negative experiences. It might be best to read on because you need to know what might happen, not what always does happen. Lots of us are here because we wanted answers to things that have come up for us. Those without side effects and complications simply don't need this list. There are wonderful, caring people here who are willing to share their knowledge (which is extensive) and experience. Try not to be afraid. You are neither alone nor condemned to have all the problems. Best Wishes, Laurel Re: radioactive iodine--Betty > In a message dated 5/4/2003 6:22:11 AM Eastern Daylight Time, > nbalant@... writes: > > > > (My own endocrinologist's partner had Graves' and chose RAI.
