My husband is a pharmacist for Walgreens and he says they sell

sharps containers for a couple of dollars. They're about the size

of a 2 liter bottle of soda. Conceivably, you could buy one in

Chicago so you wouldn't have to bring it in your luggage, though I

don't know where they could safely be disposed?????

-- here is what we were told to do by our doctor and

pharmacist. Take the cap off the needle. Press the needle against

a hard surface and bend backwards until it breaks off. You will

have a sharp needle about the size of a 1/2 inch. Drop it inside of

an empty bottle or can and put it in the garbage, and then put the

leftover needle-less syringe in the garbage by itself.

Hi Everyone

Havn't posted in ages...will post an update about Finlay soon (all

good!!)

Anyway just wanted to tell you that when we started GH we were given

(by the drug company) a sharps clip. Its designed for travelling -

it clips the needle off and stores it inside...its actually a

diabetes produce - the website is below...we've found it great when

we go away - its really easy - the " sharp " bit is taken care of and

everything else can just go in the bin.

Wish we were coming to the convention this year (sigh) - but still

have great memories from last year

hugs to all

When we did in vitro (long before was on GH) we put all of the

used syringes in an empty soda bottle. I figured for the few days

we would just cap them and save them and dispose of them when we get

home.
