Guest guest
Hi - You know this post has had the cogs turning since I read it. Your son has a condition that you will never know how lucky you are to have found early. Sure we all have our moments when we look at our teenager and ask " Who the H are you? And what have you done with MY child?!!! " But this is much more serious than the usual teenage shenanegans. I have both a younger brother and sister who have serious mental illness problems. Stealing, kidnapping and general anti-social behavior is their norm. Since my older brother and I have Graves' (just both diagnosed last year) its most likely that their mental illnesses are the result of untreated Graves. . . untreated for 20+ years. Note, however, my older brother and I have most likely had some thyroid disorder all our lives too. . . it was just diagnosed last year. Hope that helps put it in perspective for you. And I hope you get your son back. Sherry
Guest guest
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 By the way, anyone read; Am J Med 2001 Apr 15;110(6):505-6 Hyperthyroidism and criminal behavior. I have no decent medical library to hand, but I figure Elaine, and one or two others shouldn't have trouble getting a two year old letter from the American Journal of Medicine. I found an article saying Graves in mothers might also have some explaining to do.... I suspect it is due to untreated hyperthyroidism during pregnancy. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQE+th33GFXfHI9FVgYRAoRqAKCu8sV2Pfe1A3chE03MjJpcuLLzbACgpzTG Qe3sM85R5+11j+oLVxHzwSA= =cjov -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
