Guest guest
Hi Everyone, , Kim, Kate and Sharon's stories all brought back so many memories that I thought I'd share a few of my own humorous RSS stories. When I first got to college, I was frequently asked if I was a child genius..lol...I usually told them yes . Now that my face looks a little older and I also dress more age appropriatley, I don't get that question anymore, but it was fun to play with people's minds while I could . One time I was out with a boyfriend at a restaurant and the hostess made a comment about how sweet it was that he (the b/f) was taking his " little sister " out to eat. I found this comment particularly humorous because he was African American and 6'4 " , while I'm 4'2 " (I found out at the doctor last week that I'm an inch taller than I've been telling people...lol) and about as white as they come. The hostess realized her mistake when she looked down at my amused face and quickly apologized. I also absolutely love it when I go to get in my car at a crowded parking lot or when I hop out of the car at a busy gas station. The look of utter bewilderment on people's faces is priceless! A few times I've gone out grocery shopping in gym clothes and been asked where my mother is. I get some pretty shocked looks when I say I don't have a clue, but she's probably at home. Although, usually by then the store employee has realized their mistake. It's funny that Sharon (I think it was) said that she'd never been carded in a bar, because neither have I. My family took me to Vegas for my 21st birthday last summer after the convention, and I expected to be carded everywhere I went, but I wasn't asked for I.D. once. I guess they figure that if you're ballsy enough to sit down and start playing or walk into a bar and ask for a drink, you must be old enough to do it.
