Guest guest
> hyperT. = Hyperthyroid Thyroid storm is a condition when the thyroid is in overdrive due to an excess of thyroid hormone. It can happen when GD is untreated for too long or, after RAI, as the thyroid cells are dying. By overdrive I mean extremely rapid heartbeat, even more than you may have experienced at your worst; it is a very, very serious - life-threatening, in fact - condition requiring emergency treatment. I don't remember how you described how you were feeling post RAI to say that you may be having a storm but that you're still on a beta-blocker is good and should be helpful. Still call your endo if your symptoms persist or worsen. take care, Fay ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
