Guest guest
I was curious if anyone has medic alert bracelets for their kids. I've worn one for years because of my heart and I just got to thinking about Olivia with RSS --> hypo-g issues, etc, OI and the food allergies. Would it be in her best interest if something were to happen to me or if she got lost?? Heaven forbid if someone were to buy her an icecream cone if she was lost!! Just wondering if I'm overthinking things or if might be a valid idea. Guest guest
Max wears a Medic Alert bracelet. He actually had to get one because he takes Cisapride and it is required as part of the protocol. But I am so glad he does wear one. He has many medical allergies in addition to his milk allergy and it is so nice to know that all the info is on there. I think you would have great peace of mind if you got one for Olivia. Jodi Z.

Guest guest
Liam has one, but that is because if his Epilepsy, Food allergies and Penicillin allergy I didn't know about his possible RSS at the time so it is not on there... But I would for the food allergies, I would not think twice about it... Mom to Jed (11) and Liam (3) SW Orlando Fl
Guest guest
Here's the link to where I got Liam's it is not with Medic alert but I LOVE them... If you need to update the bracelet for ANY reason... You send it back and it is half price..... they say you need to keep the paper that it comes with, I lost the paper, but I called them and they said it's okay all the info is in the computer...It's a family owned company..... http://www.oneida-medical-jewelry.com/kids.html Mom to Jed (11) and Liam (3) SW Orlando Fl
Guest guest
Hi Leah Liam is 3, and we didnt know whether he would wear a bracelet,we ordered one, showed him his new 'snake watch' and he hasnt had it off since(about 2 months), he shows it to anyone willing to look. I guess we were lucky, he may, decide one day he doesnt want to wear it and we wont push him too, but for the moment it is very reassuring. Liams says MILK ALLERGY G TUBE Good luck Jody( mum to Liam 3 9.5kg 78cm amd Cameron) > > I was curious if anyone has medic alert bracelets for their kids. > I've worn one for years because of my heart and I just got to > thinking about Olivia with RSS --> hypo-g issues, etc, OI and the > food allergies. Guest guest
Medical bracelets are a good idea. I am buying one in gold now - it lasts a lot longer. It's more expensive, but I have spent over $100.00 on cheap medical bracelets that got worn out fast. (800) 634-0930 ask for Garret - Tell him sent you.
