Guest guest
Good question! I was going to ask too. has had horrible breath for a long time now. I brush her teeth 1-2 times per day, but her breath is still always bad. I'm wondering about yeast. WE haven't tested or treated for anything yet. Just started the diet and are frantically trying to get her therapy in place. Then its off to test for everything! Let me know what you find out about the breath! H, mom to 3 yrs, PDD; and 23 months The last few days, has had breath that would stop a truck.. His ped and I both agreed that it's a gastro smell coming up from his belly.. Is this because he's eating more and different foods now?
Guest guest
<His ped and I both agreed that it's a gastro smell coming up from his belly.> gets this type of reflux when he has a slip up. He had it incessantly before the diet. As a matter of fact, that's what we use as our " true test " of whether or not a food contains gluten, regardless of what the maker may claim. Are they any other symptoms of a slip-up such as unusually stimmy, etc.? Pat in Ohio Dad to (3 1/2 asd) and Tori (6 1/2 nt)
Guest guest
While these children also have terrible yeast problems, many of them also have an overgrowth of bad bacteria in their guts as well. Why so many people use Pro bio Gold (We use twice a day) in order to put in more good bacteria and keep more of a balance in there. Since the digestive tract is one long tube , it seems logical to me that this would effect the breath and their seeming ease at which they get cavities. Re: Bad Breath? > Good question! Guest guest
Both my boys have terrible morning breath - really awful. I found that when I gave them a EnzymAid the night before, it stopped the foul breath. The only problem we're having though is that's the EZA is causing my little guy to be constipated so I will have to reduce the amount I'm giving him. It also has firmed up their bowls nicely and stopped the sour smelling BMs that my younger son used to have all the time. Hope this helps. Guest guest
A few months ago, a listmate posted about brushing teeth with a probiotic to tackle the yeast in the mouth. It sounded like it was worth a try, but so far it remains on my " to do " list.
Guest guest
I have read that any extreme bodily odors: smelly bathroom episodes, body odor, bad breath, means that something in the digestive tract is not working. My youngest had irregular BMs that REAKED for years. It was a mess...literally. He also have strong body odor, he is 7 1/2 now. We finally ended it with probiotics and using enzymes regularly (he takes Peptizyde and Zyme Prime at every meal). He is quite regular as well.
