Guest guest
Hi Dawn Rose, If I remember the little chemistry I had, colloidal means the material is mixed into liquid in a fairly thorough way. In regard to mineral supplements, I believe it's supposed to help the body absorb them easily. I've heard of colloidal minerals being recommended for allergies. For myself I've become pretty cautious as I think taking extra zinc helped push me into Graves'. In the case of zinc, it messes up the balance with copper, which is critical in Graves'. I don't know the role silver plays. Elaine's book says, generally, " Nutrition experts caution that minerals, unlike vitamins, are to be taken in trace amounts. " She goes on to recommend food sources rather than supplements. OTOH, I imagine an alternative nutritionist might have more specific advice about this. Best wishes,
