I could see but I couldn't read anything. Everything ran together. It lasted less than 1/2 hour. I sat down and closed my eyes for awhile. It didn't happen again, but my eyes are watery a lot and tired. When that happened I tried to see them in the mirror and they were so dialated that there wasn't much white around the eyeballs. I appreciate your help . I am wiser because of all of you. I wish I had known about this list before I had the RAI done. But, I will have much more knowledge for whatever comes up next and i will know not to jump into anything. Thanks so much Betty PS If your are expecting an answer from me, and you don't get it, please email me back with a friendly reminder. " To err is human; to forgive, divine. Guest guest
Hi Betty, The site thyroid-info.com has a listing of recommended thyroid doctors, by region. You can click on the " Top Docs " link at the top of that page. Hopefully you can find someone close to you. A big problem after RAI involves getting your thyroid levels stabilized and finding the right amount of thyroid replacement to take. Some people become more hyperthyroid for a while while others quickly become hypothyroid. That seems to take frequent blood testing and consultation by your doctor. Some people also have problems with their eyes following RAI. This can be a part of Graves' disease. I'll leave your lab results for someone with more experience. Hopefully Elaine or someone else will comment later in the day. Hang in there!
