Guest guest
Mocha Mix is the only ice cream sub we eat. I can buy both the 3 flavors AND the creamer (which is the best milk sub we have found - kind of like whole milk) at our Super-Walmart. The kind with the grocery store. Super-Targets or something like that may have it too. Our local grocers carry the ice cream but I have to really look for it tucked away by the soy and rice dairy desserts. Hope that helps. kjornan
Guest guest
Hey, hey , Water, sugar, corn syrup, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, modified food starch, maltodextrin, soy protein, dipotassium phosphate, natural and artificial flavor, mono & diglycerides, monoglycerides, sodium stearoyl lactylate, microcrystalline cellulose, cullulose gum, diagetyl tartaric acid ester , mono & diglycerides, guar gum, polysorbate 65, xanthan gum, calcium sulfate, polysorbate 60, dextrose, artificial color (annatto), carrageenan, polysorbate 80. Ok, sounds pretty gross. You know Kirby doesn't handle soy, but he does ok with this, at least in the small amounts he's getting. I got a new ice cream maker for Mother's Day, so I'm going to work on a recipe that doesn't contain so much stuff. I've got a good start on one that I was using till this was okayed. You take care, Lolita >Hi, its me , >People have talked about Mocha Mix for awhile on here and I have been >unable to find it anywhere -supermarkets or hfs either. Before I knock >myself around in circles anymore, if anyone has it handy can you please >post the ingredients in it, (as LJ has allergy issues too), and also is >it available in supermarkets such as Patmark, Waldbaums, King Kullen. >Thanks > on Long Island New York
Guest guest
Hi Joyce If your son tolerates corn syrup, Ben and Jerry's (and yes they have one here in Temecula, and elsewhere) makes sorbet that is milk free. There are some sorbets at Trader Joe's, and soy ice creams too. Fruit juice popsicles at the Health Zone and Trader Joe's. But personally, I made my own ice cream regularly, until my Krups plastic blade died from overuse. With summer approaching, I guess I had better do something about this... Guest guest
From the printable food update list dated 4/28/01 Tofutti frozen desserts will not guarantee gluten free in the vinegar distilling process on any of their frozen products except the chocolate dessert without any crunch or wafers (they are not gluten free). The chocolate dessert is made from an alkali, no vinegar is used. Cheri***
