Guest guest
Hi Ron, Beconase isn't as anthihistamine. It's a steroid, and it may also help your eye disease. I use beconase aqueous nasal spray year round. Unlike antihistamines, though, beconase takes a few days to work. Most people in my area (CO) are having more severe allergic symptoms than they've had in years. I do best when I take stinging nettles herbal capsules and also quercetin with bromelain. This is Dr. Weil's formula to neutralize allergens and it works. With GD, you want to keep allergies in control, and many of the newer products do not have cardiac effects. You have to watch for meds that raise bp and pulse, for instance, pseudoephedrine, chlorpheneramine, etc. Ask your doctor for some samples of the newer drugs like Allegra to try to keep symptoms in line until the beconase kicks in, Elaine
Guest guest
I need some advice. I'm suffering from seasonal hay fever symptoms...including very inflamed eyes. I also have Graves eye disease (TED). **I want to take Beconase (a strong Antihistamine that has worked well for me for allergies & hay fever years ago). **Is this " appropriate " for someone like myself who has TED...on and off symptoms of eye bulging, inflammed eyes, eyelids that don't close 100% at night, & cross eyed just slightly. I seem to remember readsing " avoid antihistamines " . But if taking one helped get rid of the allergy/hay fever...would not that be a good thing, so that my eyes could then feel better? Any advice is most appreciated. Thank you! Best to everyone, Ron
Guest guest
If the box says not to take with thyroid problems then don't take it. Taking a cold medicine is how I discovered I had thyroid problems - I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Flaxseed oil will help your eyes and there are alternative treatments that will get rid of your seasonal allergies for good - check out: http://www.neuromodulationtechnique.com/whatis.cfm Take care, hope you are feeling better soon.
