Are there any spaghetti sauces that are GFCF and cornfree? We used lots of Prego

but now that I am trying to stop corn,I can't use it because of the corn syrup.

Also, I checked out the potato chip aisle and read that Snyders chips are cooked

in peanut oil instead of corn oil like the LAYS that we eat everyday. Is peanut

oil bad when you are yeast free(please say no). Is corn bran bad too? Thats in

our favorite cereal Rice crunch ems. The only other snack my son eats is Rice

bran crackers which have corn flour. I think this is going to be rough.

Hi

We are corn free several months now, it is the second

best decision I ever made! Just a note- I have not

found an OK potatochip because--salt often contains

corn to keep it from caking sooo cornfree also means

salt free unless the manufactor can confirm the salt

thing and I don't even want to go there! We found an

OK mayo and then the company switched to grain vingar!

Which of coarse breaks the GFCF rule! I buy ketchup

at the healthfood store(contains cane sugar and sea

salt!) for $3.29 then I buy tomato puree which has

nothing in it! Not even natural flavoring and I mix

one can with one bottle of expensive ketchup add a lot

of sea salt a it passes the " Jay-test! " I replace the

salt in the shaker with fine sea salt and suplement my

cooking with seaweed which is naturally high in

idodine. I also make my a quickie spagghetti sauce

with the tomato puree - I add some McCormicks garlic

and McCormicks italian seasoning and some cane sugar

and sea salt. It also passes the test. We have also

absolutely had to eliminate sodium nitrates! So I am

looking for a local maker of sausage that passes all

the diet restrictions. I can find no cereal other

than puff rice that is OK around where I live. At a

local Price Chopper I found peanut butter frucookies

that seem to pass the test and my favorite treat

besides maple syrup candy and honey sticks are welches

fruit pops. They are the only CFGF brand that is also

corn free that I can find. Jays favorite protien is

canned salt free peas- a whole can is 12 grams of

protien. He even takes it for lunch mixed with rice!

I am fortunate that his school will microwave his

lunch. I only buy tuna at the healthfood store - it

contains nothing but water! Not even salt! Good

luck! -Jay's mom
