Guest guest
Hello, Our daughter Gaby is 20 months and is 16 lbs. and around 23 inches long. We live in Rowland hieghts, CA. She was getting services thru the school district, because the regional center, said that this of an Orthpedic issue and not a mental issue. She was getting OT and PT once a month and a seperate teacher which comes and still comes twice a week. As of last week they stop the OT and PT, because is is average and above average in her skills. The district will be taking away her regular teacher in December and after that we are on our own. Gaby is a very smart little girl, she does not have a feeding tube and the only thing that she can not due is climb the staircase upper right. She either crawls them or we help her up with one hand. If the stairs our small she can go up by herself. After all this information, does any one know if the district has to offer her preschool, because of her size and the need for special desk, chair, and so on due to her size. She does not quilfy for Special Ed. school, because mentally she is great. Can any one give me any information on what I need to ask. She is still concerned disable due to her size. Sorry for such a long message Stella mom of Amani 6yrs nonrss, andres 5 yrs nonrss and Gaby 20 month RSS.
