Hi all just a quick update on Olivia, first the bad news, she had

her first official " trampling " at the school yesterday. An older

girl was running full steam down the hall and didn't even see

Olivia, just trampled right over her <gulp>, she has no new injuries

from it other than a scrape on her elbow but since she landed hard

on her butt with the other girl on top of her it has aggravated her

hip fracture and now she's limping terribly again. I know that this

isn't the last time something like this will happen but I think it

would be better if I didn't actually have to see it!!

On to the good news!! Olivia will start her first IV Pamidronate

treatment for OI in 2 weeks and we're very excited for some of

the " good " side effects, increased appetite, more stamina, increased

growth of about 1.5 cm, weight gain of about one lb. We'll deal

with the bad side effects if she gets them but I hear that they're

usually quite short lived.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Can't wait to meet everyone in Chicago!!

Leah,

I'm really sorry to hear about the episode Olivia had. I worry alot

about our daughter, Abby, getting overrun and she doesn't have the

issue Olivia does.

Congratulations on starting the new treatment. I hope everything

goes well for your family!
