Guest guest
It's me again, sarah! I do feel somewhat better once I took a real bad nose dive..I started coming back up again with some life in me. Anyhow, I got my results back and thought I would post them. I am on my way in a few minutes to my regular doctor for a check up and have lots to talk to her about!! Here are my other labs: Early March '03 T3 -- 27 Normal range 22 - 35 T4 -- 13.7 Normal range 4.5-12.5 THS <0.01 Normal range .4 - 5.5 Was placed on the propranolo and lexapro and xanax on this day 4/15 at the endos office FT3 323.1 Normal range 60 - 181 Went on 60mg of Tapazole that day 4/28 regular doctors office cause I was getting so sick FT3 476 Normal range 60 - 181 Endo was faxed these numbers and he then increased my tapazole to 90mg Also increased my propranolo and lexapro and added the Atarax.. My newest ones: FT3 182.8 normal range 60 - 181 FT4 123 normal range 89 - 180 TSH 0.08 normal range .4 - 5.5 Was told that the endo doctor would be back in his office Tuesday and he would look at the results and if there was any changes he wanted to make, they would call me..ugh. But the good news is that my levels are better, right??? The thing that scares/worries me are how fast the levels go up and come down though! I also went to the ENT for my allergies and the sore throat problem I was having, he said I had a bad sinus infection and wanted me to take a 3 week course of antibiotic..yuck..more medicine! He said that with Graves, it makes simple infections hard to clear up, does that sound right?? I wish you all a great day and hope all you Moms had a wonderful Mothers Day! sarah
Guest guest
Hi , If you have allergies that aren't in good control they can make your thyroid condition worse. And with a hyperactive immune system, we often have worse allergies, but they do respond well to treatment. You dose of Tap is very high. The dose is usually reduced after 6-8 weeks on meds or sooner if hypo symptoms develop. The usual starting dose is 30 mg and most people are eventually maintained on 2.5-10.0 mg daily. Take care, Elaine
