I'm trying to sort this one out, too, as DOE is questioning the old

aspergers/NLD label. Knowing the full story, I believe my son was

classically HFA when 3 yrs old, aspergers at 7, and now ?? at 10. He

seems to have dyslexia and some quirks (lagging in social & motor

skills). Many of the now small to moderate problems seem much like

those of a child who has grown up ill & surrounded by adults - like

he's skipped normal childhood (which of course he has) and is a bit

weak physically. I am happy to report that he is catching up with

strength and coordination, tho, so that problem will be gone soon.

He doesn't seem ASD (except to hypervigilent me), so I'm trying out

some different explanations. Current favorite: multiple chemical

sensitivities and dyslexia. But I know what you mean - deep inside

there is still the biological problem, and it needs a name like you

suggested.
