Guest guest
OK Everyone, this is so much for my mind to absorb. LOL I am going to take it one step at a time, hoping that I can understand it all in time. Here is my first step: I am 15 days post RAI. What I would like to understand (right now) is about the eyes. What symptons should I be looking for? I think by doing it this way, that I will be able to understand it all. You listmembers are so knowledgeable. I don't think I will ever be able to catch up with you all. Thanks for your help. Betty

Guest guest
Hi Betty- When my TED 1st started I had dry scratchy eyes. I also got a wild staring look (from lid retraction-you could see white all around the cornea). After that, they started protruding noticably. The dry scratchy feeling came 1st. Take care, dx & RAI 1987 (at age 24) > OK Everyone, this is so much for my mind to absorb. Guest guest
Hi Betty- My TED is considered mild now. I have minor lid retraction on just the lower lids and mild protrusion of both eyes. Even so, sometimes they don't close at night and I've had a couple of cases of ulcerative keratitis because of it. I was very lucky that they receded. A lot of times they don't.
