Guest guest
Hi Great to hear from you. My two are asleep right now so I'm glad to get the chance to reply to your email. Your numbers are very similar to my last ones (when was about 4 months old) and I felt about the same too! I think your endo was trying to be reassuring. He knows how much you have been through in last few years and from what I gather works well with you. You are so well informed and pro-active about your health that I'm sure you will be able to do what is right for you. Since you are still breastfeeding (also I think it takes several months for the body to hormonally stabilize after birth) and you feel OK maybe you should wait awhile. Keep your bloods monitored regularly and see your endo next time. I have found that I get some real whacky hormonal activity sometimes. I have had 3 periods (not regular) in the last 8 months. I'm still breastfeeding so I'm sure this why. But I wouldn't want to have to be adjusting my thyroxine as well. Hope all is going well with your children. Does 'big bro' help out? Hope you can get them to sleep at the same time. I get really excited when mine have their nap together (mmm what has my life become when this is exciting!!!!!). Must go - think I'll try to get in a nap too :-) Cheers Caroline
Guest guest
Hi Caroline- I'll take your advice and not do any fiddling right now. I feel pretty good and don't want to muck things up. I haven't cycled yet so hormones are still awry. I just was so excited that it appears that I started converting again that I'm anxious to change my Cytomel to a lower dose (not stop it). It has such a short 1/2 life and floods your system with fast-acting thyroid hormone. I'm a little worried about osteoporosis since I'm 40 and breastfeeding two babies. It probably doesn't mean anything but I have a fair amount of hip pain and ankle pain. On the other hand, I have always been very active so that might be arthritis resulting from activity. My husband (who doesn't have osteoporosis) is around my age, about as active as I was, and is starting to have arthritic problems. Take care, dx & RAI 1987 (at age 24) > Hi > > Great to hear from you. My two are asleep right now so I'm glad to get > the chance to reply to your email.
