I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the RSS adults on

here. I mean, you guys shed such a positive light for us parents of

RSS children. I can't thank each and every one of you enough for

being such an important and caring part of this group! We need all

of you on here. You all are so great. You make us laugh when we are

feeling down and low, and you make things so much brighter be telling

us how well you are doing as adults. Yes, as parents we all worry so

much about our kids, and what to expect. But, thanks to you guys

being on here and contributing, I think so many of us go to bed

knowing that, yes, things are hard now, while they are infants, but

soon it will get better and easier, and our kids will be just fine!

I live you all. Thank you so much for being here for us and willing

to share your life experiences with us!

Hugs and much appreciation,

Jodi Rollison

Jodi-

You're very welcome.

I guess my opinion of what I'm/we're (all the RSS adults) doing is

not as big as what you think I'm/we're doing...in my eyes, all I did

was grow up, the same as you did <wink> (albeit with a mother

breathing down my back to EAT and a few years of being

called " Shrimpo " )...in your eyes, as a parent and I guess seeing a

reflection of me/us in , I suppose that " growing up as an RSS

kid " is a pretty good thing <G>.

But having that responsibility can be kinda big sometimes...don't

make the pedestal too high, please...I'm really short, so I get

dizzy from tall heights (and no, the dizziness is not related to the

RSS <wink>).

Afraid to go on the scale cuz I'm bloating. Thought I'd share <wink>.

Hi Jodi

I feel the same as sharon. all we did was have rss and learn to live and adapt,

we knew no different and i was unaware at times how much my parents have gone

through(with no support)as they knew no one else with an rss child. I decided

last year to get involved with rss info and talkng to other rss adults and

families and one of my reasos was to show parents how positive, productive,

happy and contented a life an rss child can grow up to have/be. I look forward

to meeting you and all the other rss families in chicago and sharing more

stories, photos and answering any questions families may have that i could offer

my opinion on as an rss adult. I tthank you for your appreciation and also for

being a caring family and doing all you can to get informed about rss and live

as an rss adult,

Hi Jodi,

Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad to know that us being

here provides a little comfort. I just know that I've been incredibly

blessed in my life and that RSS has not diminished those blessings in

any way, and I want to share that with people who are facing the

uncertainty of RSS. So, again, thank you.
