Guest guest
Sandy, Just saw this message of yours about the COQ10. I had heard that it's good for the heart, but didn't know it might help with energy! Next time I go to the vitamin store I think I'll get some and try it. I'll let you know if it brings me the same results. Thanks, Chris > Betty, I dunno if this will help you any, but it's worth a try. I saw that CO-Q10 from the pharmacy was for energy, so I started taking it about 3 weeks ago. I noticed by two weeks of taking one capsule 3 times a day, usually with a meal, that I was not near as tired as I normally was. I'm also hyperT, but have been overdosed on Methimazole, so my Dr cut me back to 20 mgs from 30mgs. It may be coincidence, but it's sure made a difference in how I feel, and I've actually managed to feel half way decent. I also added some Vit C, and Vit B, since then, but in the beginning it was strictly the CO- Q10 and my Methimazole along with Atenolol. > > Maybe somebody else who's taking this will speak up and tell if they've found that it's helped them any. I do know that when I forgot to take it, I was more tired than normal, and started writing myself a note to be sure I take it (short memory here) lol. I also don't sound so short winded when I take the CO-Q10 so that's an added plus for me. I was actually able to work outside Saturday before last in the yard helping hubby do some things and wasn't completely worn out either? So, I'm guessing it's not a bad thing to add to my system. > > Sandy > > > P.S. Guest guest
I can sure tell the difference when I quit taking it. I just happened to stumble on it from 's website and figured why not give it a try. In two weeks, I was able to work outside in the yard which is something I've not done in at least 2 yrs. lol. I still find myself not overdoing it since I've had the Graves/HyperT, cuz I will pay for it dearly, but at least this helps me. Why will your Dr not give you ATD's? I also take Atenolol for the palpitations as well as for my blood pressure which went up several years back with no explanation cept for my weight gain. I have been on Methimazole for almost 2 yrs or so now but we're reducing it slowly but surely over the next year on a maintenance amt (he says 5 mgs). :-) Sandy Original Message: ----------------- From: chaceeagle chaceeagle@... Guest guest
Don't take too much CoQ10, only what is recommended. I accidentally did when I switched from a small pill where I took two a day, to a larger pill where I only needed one, forgot, took two, and had heart palpitations and jitters all night, thought I was going hyper again, but realized what I did. Guest guest
Sandy, my doctor won't perscribe ATDs because he says my liver enzymes are too high and they could cause harm there. However, my liver counts are only somewhat elevated, so I think that's just his excuse because he recommends RAI. Other than the atenolol, for the time being I am on my own for treatment.
