Guest guest
Heres a fish story some may want to read. [Autism-Mercury] Salmon We recently got our daughter's DDI hair analysis back and the Mercury was at 1.9 (ref.range <0.4). She is 17 and we felt that her last exposure would have been when she received the HepB at age 13. We were surprised to see it that high. The only recent exposure that we can think of is from consuming fish. is on the Ketogenic Diet for her uncontrolled seizures. We had been feeding her fish - mostly salmon- several nights a week over a period of about a year . We thought this was a healthy choice, was diet friendly, easy to prepare, and she actually liked it - which is always a battle. When I signed onto the list last fall we cut back on the fish until she fractured her jaw in November and found it was one of the easiest things for her to eat. We still occasionally give her shrimp and lobster. The diet only allows very small amounts per meal. We also had a 24-hr. urine test done but have not yet received the results.
