Guest guest
Hi Mimi! I just wanted to say that we've all had months like this with our kids. I know that Isaac didn't gain much, but the bright side is that he DID gain! We had so many times when would lose weight that we started to cringe any time a weigh-in was due. I know how scary the thought of a g-tube can be, but I wanted to reassure you that it's not as bad as you imagine it to be. had his g-tube placed when he was 8.5 months of age, and I can only say that it's been such a relief, knowing that he's getting the calories he needs on a consistent basis. True, G-tubes come with their own set of problems, but they can also be a real source of comfort, too! And imagine our surprise, when after all our earlier struggles with weight gain, we heard that he was " too fat " at the convention last year! LOL Just wanted you to know that you're not alone in your worries. Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 30 months, 21.4#, 30.6 " , G-Tube)
Guest guest
Hi Mimi! I wanted to agree with Pat on this one. Issac did gain not lose. I'm at the point where I don't care what Pippin's weight is. But before her G-tube all I did was obsess about her weight gain (better yet-- her lack of). Pippin was 4 months when she got her GT. And I can honestly tell you that it saved her life, my marriage, and my older daughters quality of life, etc...we all are just much happier not fighting Pippin to eat and knowing that she is healthy, happy and thriving. I know the thought of the GT is VERY overwhelming, but there is a bright side also. See you in less than 2 weeks.
