Guest guest
The story sound vaguely familiar. For my daughter Sam (now 3 yao) i felt she was different from early on - but most of her early symptoms was with food not wanting to eat, and her love and irritability after having formula. Initially my ped thought I was nuts and over comparing my children. How I now wished I had been more connected and listened to myself. Anyway because Sam is affectionate, has eye contact, has some speech it took awhile for our ped to be convinced she has PDD or somewhere on the spectrum. It took me ( our family) awhile to adjust too. Although I knew in my hearts of hearts- I didn't want to beleive it either. I just knew something wasn't right. A year later- we are here. Taking Super- Nu- Thera, TMG and the diet for (3-4 weeks) and I seen so much progress with her. We did behavior therapy but we got more progress with the diet. I want to encourage you to listen to self. No one knows your child like you. There should be state services for children under 3. I think you said your child is 2. School districts should be able to help at 3. Get a good assessment. Even if you have to pay it outside the insurance. You won't regret it. If your child is on the spectrum, this is journey no parent truly wants to volunteer to take. You have plenty of good company. We are so fortunate now to have options available. You will become exhausted by the extensive reading you have to do and will want to do. Professionals will help you but other parents will be your greatest ally.
