Guest guest
Well, my son is going to be making the mentioned snack at school. It had Dole Sea Adventure Shaped Pineapple, Vanilla Wafers, and applesauce. My son is on a CF (not GFCF) diet, so the Vanilla Wafers were out and he can't have applesauce either. Blue Jello as a substitute wouldn't work either, as he can't have that as well. So, I sent in the following: Milk-free cookie (to crumble for " sand " ) 2 cups Imagine Lemon Pudding Acceptable blue food coloring The teacher will have the pineapple there, and he can eat that. They are going to crumble the cookie " sand " in the bottom of the cup, then put the applesauce (tinted, I am assuming) in. Then, suspend the sea creatures in it for snack. This way, my child can participate. He has a wonderful teacher that makes adaptations for him as needed, especially when I am willing to provide alternate materials and instructions.
