Guest guest
Well we got our Passports in the mail yesterday (2 weeks early!!). This is the last big thing needed to go to the convention!! I'm just so excited and it's only 3 weeks away!! Everything seems to have gone so fast since we've been so busy with everything. Our fundraising has been a huge success, in total we've raised almost $12,ooo.oo and my girl friend who owns a salon in town is still going to host a cut-a-thon for Olivia. I told her that we have the funds to go to Chicago and to cover costs for all of Olivia's appts. in Edmonton but she still wanted to do it! Now that we're starting the Pamidronate IV meds for her Osteo we've just added about 10 more appts per year. What a wonderful outpouring we've had from our community, we are very humbled by it. I can't wait to meet all of you in Chicago and take tons of pics! Speaking of pictures I talked to the reporter who's done the newspaper stories on Olivia and she wants to do a follow up after the convention but she said if I wanted to publish pictures of Olivia with other kids I'd need the parents to sign a release of the photos, just on a plain piece of paper will do.... will anyone have any objections? Anyway I'll be the crazy looking lady running around with camera and paper in hand, lol!! Have a great day everyone! Leah, mom to 9yrs and Olivia 4.5yrs, RSS, OI, 19.5lbs (she's gained again!!!!!!), 33 " , lactulose, senokot, zantac, tums
