Guest guest
Does anyone else get a blank look from the Endos they have seen when they have brought up the possibility of trying a " block and replace " method? I get either a " no " or " I " ve never heard of such a stupid idea " . Does anyone do a " block & replace " regimen without telling their doctor(s) that they are taking care of themselves that way? I live in California (San Francisco), and this is a center of good alternative care. But the MDs that I have found (even a couple of so-called " Top Docs " on the list) still " try " to talk me into getting RAI to get over GD. Of course, I haven't stayed with any of the 3 Endos & 2 other expert docs when they push for the RAI. I'm frustrated, and annoyed at paying $250 to $500 for initial appointments with so-called experts...and they (5) all come op with the same " suggestion " of why not go the easy route of RAI...same as my family doc did at the start. And I'm moving towards remission...with eye function much improved (thanks to this group and the wonderful suggestions/support of the members here). I've been taking PTU for 25 months...now down to a small dosage of 1 tablet 3 times a day. Maybe I still haven't found a doc who will work with me in the way that I know is best & that will eventually get me into remission. Suggestions, anyone? Thanks...and my best to all!
